Clarinet Studio courses

Private Lessons

All MTSU clarinetists receive a weekly private lesson with Dr. Waldecker. Students enroll in the course each semester and present a Senior Recital in the final year of study.

Clarinet Studio Master Class

Clarinet Studio Master Class meets weekly and provides an opportunity for all studio members to join together and discuss issues of clarinet performance.  Topics include a mixture of performances, repertoire coaching, pedagogical tips, guest artists and more.

MTSU Clarinet Choir

Participation in the MTSU Clarinet Choir is encouraged of all clarinet music majors/minors and open to any clarinetist on campus by audition.  Performing a wide variety of musical styles written and arranged for the ensemble, the Clarinet Choir develops chamber music performing skills that are not always possible in a large ensemble setting.  The MTSU Clarinet Choir rehearses weekly and performs concerts each semester on and off campus.
